I guess I should tell you a little about 24/7 Management, what we’re about, and how it all started……..

Funny really, I never planned on getting into Management, but like most Managers say……. it just kind of happens,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, It kind of ‘just happened’ for me when artist Daisy Hicks (Concept – Universal) knocked on my door asking me to manage her! I was pretty tied-up running Smile Music Publishing at the time, then in its 7 th year, but on hearing Daisy’s story, I knew she needed sound advice, and with my contacts and experience I knew I could further her career. Let me also say, from day one, I believed in Daisy’s talent immensely. So I set up 24/7 Management Ltd purely to manage Daisy Hicks. After a few months work, Daisy was back on track having a stream of releases in Asia , and the UK ……… Now I find myself with 4 acts and 3 writer/producers……………

I’ve been in the music industry about 30 years, and my history reads something like this….……….left school….formed a band…gigged and recorded…formed another band…gigged and recorded……..formed a duo……..gigged all over the world…….had songs published/released……..had major management…. ran a commercial recording studio…… formed an independent label (Jungle Discs)………formed Smile Music Publishing………and now 24/7 Management.

Over my career in the music industry I guess I’ve seen it from all sides, which definitely aids me in running 24/7 Management. During recent years I’ve seen the role of Manager change considerably, with new and exciting income streams coming from many different sources, but at the same time label cut backs, leading to the Manager now being looked on as the soul primary source to develop the artist in every form. As I’ve always said, there is only one constant within this industry, and that is change. I embrace these industry changes, and would also add that this is the most exciting time to be involved in the music industry.

At 24/7 we’re very passionate about what we do and pride ourselves in our honesty and integrity. As the name suggests, we work 24/7. Our primary job at 24/7 is to put our artists into situations that can further their career. The artist’s job is to take advantage of those situations.
